Up-Cycle That 50's Purse With Epoxy Clay!

I adore these vintage 50's purses.
I immediately visualize a well dressed woman, with her purse in the crook of her arm, walking with her friends.
I also think these purses are an ideal blank canvas.
To create my upcycled purse I gathered some interesting embellishments and Jewelry Clay, an air-drying clay great for this project.
Here is a closer look at my stash of embellishments.
I made an interesting shape with clay on my purse.
You can see here the thickness of my clay application.
I happily embedded my chosen objects.
I have been wanting to use that unicorn for some time!
When I was satisfied with my collage effect, I selected two Pearl-Ex colours.
You can see in this picture how I "painted"  my powder onto my clay embellished collage.
The powder will only stick to the exposed clay.
24 hours later, I used a stiffer brush to remove all the excess powder form my purse.
I also use these little alcohol swabs to remove any fingerprints I may have accidently added to the purse.
Now I have a purse that reflects my personal style!

  3. How beautiful! I bet we could use that for glamourizing many items. How about doing it on a pretty shaped vase??
