Resin Filled Pocket Watch Pendant

I wore this new necklace over the weekend and received several very nice compliments.  I am so happy with how it turned out.
What makes the watch so unique is the unusual background I started with.
Every year, I spend time in the Pebeo art section in the BHV department store in Paris.  Their samples and demonstrators have the most fabulous work on display.  Your hand automatically reaches out to touch the surface of these pieces.
I used Pebeo mixed media reactive paints to create my background.
To begin, I decided to add a very thin layer of resin into my bezel.
I wanted to seal my paint before I added a second layer of imagery.
This gorgeous rub-on is from a Crafter's Companion Fairyopolis card making set I presented a few years ago on the Shopping Channel in Canada.  I have never seen more beautiful rub ons.
Here is the rub-on, now floating on that first clear layer of resin.
I added some glitter glue and gold marker lines to accentuate my floral imagery.
One more pour of resin finished my pendant beautifully.
I love resin!
