Northcott Fabric Collar Necklace

I have a new special necklace to share.
It features fabric I received from Northcott.
In September I attended a Canada Sews meeting.  Northcott's marketing specialist Jennifer Brennan was present and she noticed right away that I was having difficulty returning the samples she passed around the room.
I mean really.  Look at this gorgeous grouping.
It is the Duchess collection and I don't remember ever seeing fabric this beautiful in one location.  How could I just hand it back?
When fabric is this gorgeous I think it should be turned into wearable art.  So I gathered some yo yo making supplies and made one from each piece of fabric.
My yo yos all turned out so pretty!
Then I lined some of the fabric with PHOOMPH and cut our circular discs.
The circle edges I beaded.
When my main collar was sewn together I knew I would need a bit of a cord to make it a finished necklace.  I gathered kumihimo cords in a colour palette to match.
The kumihimo cord makes this collar so easy to wear.
Love this fabric!  Thank you again Jennifer!

  2. Yes, the fabric is certainly beautiful, but it's what you do with it that makes it so special this time!
