The View From Here

There is nothing more exciting than a day of nothing.
No plans, no travel, no follow-up.
This is such a day. The first true day off post holidays when my mind starts to turn to "what is next." I don't want to actually begin a work related project - but I do want to spend some time experimenting.

This blog has always been a place for me to post what I am working on. It is also a great taskmaster. When I publish something I plan to work on...I feel very compelled to complete that task. So on this desk sits so many possible projects that I thought I might outline a few today and then hope to complete them all this month. As you can see, I have a lot of wire. This is for an idea I have involving fibers.....so I'll definitely have some projects with this collection.

I can never get enough felt. These felt balls were a gift! I can't wait to experiment with them!

I bought these glass beads earlier this year when artbeads.com had a sale. They are so beautiful that I got stumped as to where to use them. I will try to incorporate them into something special soon.

Rhinestone zipper. This crazy cool zipper needs to be used. I think it might be the basis for my first jewelery project this year.

I love this handmade Mary Harding pendant. It represents the time of the year and the colour palette I love the best. I am having a hard time figuring out what to do with this since it is so white, grey and cool blue outside right now.

I love this tiny handmade book I bought from Kozo. I want to wear it somehow.

And finally, this lump of fools gold.
I think it is awesome. I need to figure out how to wire wrap it in a way that will show off the stone and make it wearable.
These are just a few of the projects I am day dreaming about today!
