An Unexpected Day Out

There were many chores on my Sunday agenda.

But a phone call from my Mom telling me the whole family was getting together on our land north of the city for some sunshine had me setting aside my schedule.
My Dad has a well marked trail all set up for us to walk along.

I would have missed this small piece of paradise.

I would have missed this pathway to a forest sanctuary.
And, I would have missed coffee and homemade apple pie with the people I love.
Right now I am grateful for my decision to change my plans.
