The Tailor's Brooch

This is a happy one hour project that I worked on last night.

I call it the "Tailor's Brooch" because of the image of the old style suit in the bezel (I made) and the attached vintage scissors charm.

I hate to throw away small pieces of chain. They pile up on the side of my table until I challenge myself to make something with them. The one hour time limit is part of the challenge too.

I always have pins in my stash to make brooches. Recently I found the black velvet ribbon and felt I needed to give this a test too. It does not fray!

If there are past lives, I must have been a person who either made or wore a lot of medals. I love them. I wish I could wear several on my jacket every day.
