It is bitterly cold in my part of the world. It makes you want to wear layers and layers. So today in the comfort of my warm studio, I finished this little heart brooch.

I happily felted the heart using some of the red and pink wool roving in my stash.

Then I pulled out this tiny one inch bisque doll. With no arms or legs, I can't think of a better embellishment to wrap in a layer of soft felt.

Then the hand sewing began. I added the pin and all the tiny gold coloured leaves. She is my Canadian Winter Valentine!

LOVE!
