Yesterday I showed you the very cute free download I found of Christmas imagery on
Spoon Graphics.
I knew I would make fabric ornaments, but I did want a festive little pin to put on my jacket. This time I cut out the Santa and sewed it to two layers of white sparkly felt.

Then I happily beaded the edges. My last step was to attach a pin back to the back so I could pin it to my coat.

I almost didn't get to take this picture. After I finished the Santa pin, my puppy Magnus grabbed it. I guess he thought it was his new chew toy. I had to re-sew many of the beads...and dry Santa overnight. So I know at least one four legged friend really likes it.
Just goes to show what good our furry friends have - I had to rescue my new needle felted beetle brooch from my kitten Maisy!!!
ReplyDeleteVery nice, really different, love the added touch of beads. Yes our 4 legged friends are always trying to help us.
