Dollar Store Finds

Going down the toy section with children is always fun in the dollar store.
We tried on wigs and hats for costumes and reviewed the pros and cons of different sized slinkies.
Then I spotted these caps.  I remember these bullet caps from my childhood...I didn't think they sold them anymore.  To make them work, you had to pound these red dots with a rock so there would be a tiny explosion/bang.  I am pretty sure I burnt a finger or too.  I definitely would not buy them for a child.  Even if they do like making noise.

  1. I remember those too - so much fun!...and yet I would not buy them for kids today either. We also had a cap gun but I remember one where you could only put them in one-at-a-time. In fact I found that gun at my Mother's recently....what a riot!

  3. Agreed. They were supposed to be for the cap guns but we always bought them and just used a rock to set them off. I really thought they had taken them off the market.
