10 Pound Pledge
My blog is an amazing task master. Anytime I pledge to do something I always feel extra pressure (good pressure) to accomplish my goals. Not that anyone but me is keeping track. There isn't a blog police force to double check that I did hit my 2000+ card goal or my ATC a day for a month idea. It's my own sense of a blog honour system. So, here is a pledge I really want to make for 2009. Lose (and keep off) my 10 pound annual holiday weight gain. I am going to leave my little image up on the corner of my blog for the next few months. I'll report in weekly. I don't plan to have any special weight loss entries after this....I am going back to my regular art entries. I will feel your scorn if I actually gain weight...just knowing that my weekly entry might be -4 and then the following week only -2.
OHHHHH. And the SHAME if I admit to +2.
So, let the positive peer pressure begin. I am weighing myself today and will start from this number.
Want to join me? Feel free to clip my little image and add it to your own blog! If you do, let me know and I will make a little list and we can all check up on each other! Leave a comment and I will be excited to have you as company!! And pass this around to other bloggers I may not know. The more the merrier!

You know I'm in. I'm starting on Friday. This is a totally great idea. I think you should make "5" inch buttons of that little girl, for all participants to wear:)
OK, OK. I will try this but it may take a lifetime. It took me a year and a half to lose 10 lbs. But maybe, if there's a community doing the same thing, I might be able to resist the temptation that rears its ugly head every evening.
I'm totally in with this. I'll start, um, tomorrow?
Carmi...that's terrific. I'm in. It's one of my Dream List for 2009. I lose 10 lbs in 2008 but gained 5 lbs. My original goal was to lose 15, that's why I'm aiming for 10lbs more.
Good luck to you!

I'm in! I love this! This was already one of my goals. We've even initiated family crunch time. My husband and I are strengthening our abs to ease back pain. The kids think it's fun and have joined in.
An ex-athlete, now a chubby girl, so I pledge.
