Resin For Living
It seemed like every time I went into the studio I needed to use resin. I am completely out and will need to pop by Michaels today with my trusty coupon to pick up a new batch. I made all these new card embellishments for my final production run before the show next week.
I also made a new mold.
I found this metal embellishment at an antique market this past summer. I was just about to attach it to a book assemblage when I thought maybe I should make a mold first.
The mold was done in a few hours. It looked good, so I coloured some resin and did a test pour.
A perfect copy. Now I can make duplicates for whatever project I am working on...and I get to keep the original piece!

Wish you would do a class on this technique!

Smart girl! Make a mold first, I never think to do it until it's too late. Hope all is going smoothly with show prep. XX!
'always fun to have a resin to go shopping at Michaels!
Just want to share an idea for resin lovers like myself. You can get the 32 oz box of resin (envirotex) not sure if that's the correct spelling for $18.99 at Menards as well as the gallon size for under $50.00. Much cheaper than Micheals or Hobby Lobby with the coupons.
Hello, came across your blog and was curious to know what type of mold material did you use for this project.
